The Web browser Opera 6 can use Unicode resource-fork fonts The WorldText text editor and 2 experimental applications ( MLTE Demo and SUE) have implemented the facility to use Windows Unicode fonts under Mac OS 9. Adobe InDesign can use the extra characters in Macintosh Unicode fonts, but it does not support the keyboard drivers in Appleās Language Kits, and the only way to enter the extra characters is to use the Insert Characters dialog box, available from the Type menu. Sadly, there are very few applications that are able to access these extra characters. The Macintosh operating system has included Unicode support since version 8.5, and this allows applications to see and use characters in both Macintosh and Windows TrueType fonts that are outside the 233 characters in the MacRoman character set.
